City of Hutto - Future Library / Multi-use Building
Hutto, TX
An existing 7,200 sf horizontal grain silo will be relocated on the Hutto Co-op site to function first as the interim City Hall, and later as a municipal Library and Multi-use Building. Antenora Architects' design will relocate the storage facility atop a newly constructed one-story-tall base, which will double the enclosed space to 16,600 sf. The enhanced building will consolidate all the city’s administrative functions while the new City Hall is being built. Afterward, it will be repurposed to accommodate many different municipal functions, including the Hutto Central Library, Hutto Co-op Museum, and possibly as a venue for special events.
The interim City Hall, along with an adjacent Amphitheater and Civic Green, will be the first built components of the new Municipal Complex in the Hutto Co-op District. Collectively, these future facilities will house the city administration offices and also serve to welcome the public with flexible event and exhibition spaces, such as Market Street, the Amphitheater, the Civic Green, and an expanded street fair space in the adjacent parking lot.
